Be sure to implement an owner shaming feature: "Your dog has been more active than you today!"

But in all seriousness this looks great. My wife and I both use Fitbit and have joked about attaching it to our dog's collar to see how active he is.

Also not able to login. I ran the forgot password functionality but their FAQ says it could take up to 15 min. to receive the email.

It took me about 4 minutes to receive the email - once I got it, the servers were quite responsive. Just give it a few minutes ... it'll get to you eventually

The servers are responsive because all the rest of us are locked out, still waiting on our reset email :-/

It's been 20 minutes since I submitted the reset, and I still don't have the email.

Edit: got email after 40 min.

Our email systems are somewhat loaded from the email announcement so it might be a little slow. Things are slowly improving in speed however.

Neat - I built something similar that uses the Songkick API and LeafletJS. Not quite as polished as yours though!

For anyone interested in only the grid/rearranging js behind this: http://gridster.net/

Not sure if you're managing your own DB or not but it might be worth looking into http://www.brewerydb.com/

I actually thought long and hard about Brewery DB. Their API is just fantastic, IMO. Really clean. Unfortunately, I wrote Recommendable (the Ruby gem that I wrote to power the recommendations) in a way that it really relies on ActiveRecord currently. My database also has considerably more beers than BreweryDB does right now, but yeah. Managing it by myself slowly gets more difficult as more and more suggestions on beers I need to add come my way. I'm working on an admin section for me to manage that more easily.

Cheers! I've been wanting to make a beer app for a while and always had BreweryDB in the back of my head. Maybe you should open up your database via an API too:)

To give a little more context - this letter was sent after an announcement that Berkshire Hathaway was purchasing all of the newspapers owned by Media General.

I just used RGraph for some charts in an application I'm working on. The biggest pain for me has been plotting time-based data and I wish I had seen this first.

Does the graph handle hours/minutes/seconds or no?

This seems great. I know Facebook is switching (or has switched) to requiring 3rd party apps to use an SSL certificate. Since many of the Facebook apps I've been developing don't really require much (many times they're just informational pages, no user input) it seems like a waste to buy a full domain and SSL cert. Being able to just use Heroku's domain and piggyback SSL could be a big win there.

- 15" MacBook Pro (2010 Core i5) with 8GB RAM. Swapped out the stock HD for a 120GB SSD and used OWC DataDoubler to put in a 1 TB 7200 RPM hard drive for media/scratch.

- 27" Apple Cinema Display.

- OS X Lion

American Underground is very nice. I was there for the first time a week or so ago for the Triangle Cocoaheads meet up and was very impressed with the space!
