Came here to say the Technics 1200 turntable. Everything you need in a turntable and nothing you don't: pitch adjustment, 45rpm adapter, 33/45rpm speed buttons, and a light. The few controls it has are all intuitive and the quality of the manufacturing is obvious the moment you use it. I've had mine for 16 years and the only thing I've ever needed to replace is the needle.
Absolutely the technics 1200. The great thing is it has affordances that the designers didn't even consider-- the spindle and the edge of the platter. If you're djing, you interact with those two things more than anything else on the turntable.
I'd probably pick the Pioneer DJM series over the Xone, though.
I own a Xone:32. It's a great unit, but has a few headscratches, like the gain knobs at the back. Xones sound better, but I have to say the Pioneer products are designed better and easier to use.
I'd like to add the 1200 of headphones, Sony MDR-V6.
