Why do you think your employer gives you their own computer?

archive.ps or whatever the domain is now.

Plug: I made <https://waybackinator.com/>. You can just append a URL to the URL path to get a link to the most recent archive snapshot, if there is one. It uses the wayback machine's API.

Example:

1. https://www.newscientist.com/article/2445967-astronomers-puz...

2. https://waybackinator.com/https://www.newscientist.com/artic...

3. "That URL is not available via the internet archive API."

Oh well.

If it's just for The Wayback Machine, you can prepend https://web.archive.org/web/ to the URL; no need for the waybackinator indirection.

I've made a bookmark of the URL https://web.archive.org/web/%s in Firefox, and assigned the "wm" keyword to it, so I only have to prepend that.

LPT: you can right click on any search box and select "Set a keyword to this search" (or whatever it is exactly in English).

Archive.today is the master domain which should redirect to the best one for one's location:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Archive.today

How does that work?

Yeah, no. You don't need to use Authy.

Last time I checked, they did. In fact their 2FA system is so messed up that it thinks my mobile number is an authenticator app, and so I can't even request a code to delete the 2FA method, let alone add a new one:

Authy uses a standardized QR code to seed your TOTP. This isn't true.

Have you tried it? They use a proprietary integration with Authy that prevents you from using anything else. No QR code is ever provided.

It's either Authy or 2FA through SMS, no other option.

Not true. Look at the documentation, authy or sms.

Yeah, its not surprising what a bunch of layoffs will do. The Authy people have been gone for a while.

Not financial advice:

Also having an investor base that demands removing as much equity compensation as possible. (Whilst, IMO, not being aggressive enough to cut executive compensation)

But it's no surprise that when you ask management/executives "who needs to be laid off", the answer is not that many managers/executives...

I do think Kho is the right person for the job though, and Aidan was surprisingly smart too, so I my[1] bet is that they'll get there.

[1]: I'm long twilio btw.

The company has had terrible profitability metrics and needed to cut a ton of fat. Maybe they laid off the wrong people though.

But do they go up turtle noses?

absolutely. It's a design feature.

"hacking is not cracking"....

if you're going to be pedantic, at least add something to the conversation.

hahahahahahahahahhahahahahaha gasp hahahahahahhahahahahahahahahahah
