I would argue it's not an either-or. The Internet enables us to share the information that's most relevant/efficient, and it makes this information so accessible that the opportunity cost for NOT accessing it is increasingly high.


Although, on the topic of site design, the Tweets on the sidebar do take up 2/3 of the page. Is it really necessary to see posts all the way back from April 2020?

the whole album is timeless, but that solo in particular has always stood out to me. David Gilmour almost evokes something ethereal in those notes.


This would be fun to use in the background of the thumbnail for a YouTube video (or something like that), although I certainly wouldn't want to see it used to convey actual information. It gets enough across, I think, to figure out what application is being used.

I don't think they were referring to moderation in itself. 4chan isn't a decentralized platform like the Fediverse (AFAIK), so, if it was theoretically large enough (like, TikTok-sized), it would be just as big a problem.
