I sometimes wonder, wether paranoid dictatorships could not be fooled, by automatically creating fake users in fake relationships, sending each other conspiring comments and information. That way all those secret service snoops could be kept busy chasing wild gooses, leaving the normal people they usually harass into oppossition, to go on about there lives.
So long as you're covering your tracks when creating these and using these fake accounts. Covering your tracks by using all the tools that are outlawed and detectable, thus putting a bigger target on your back.
If you're going to tickle the toes of dictatorially-run law enforcement, your security had better be watertight.
It sounds like a lot of work but if you performed it from outside of the jurisdiction you'd be safe. Not your friends and family inside, though, so still better not to be identified.
In the early days after world war 2 - working at the sugar refinery in my town was considered a suicide job.
Many of the sugar beets had some mixend in ammonition with them, so there where days where the washing assembly or the hacking machine would blow up- sometimes killing people.
If its such a horror- why not make up a company of theire own- instead of hijacking a pre-existing one?
SJW Incooperated then can provide all the search the world ever needed, without a single with male.
All those rule books, but it takes just one butt scratch on the way back from the interplanetary probe toilett to unfold this scenario. Poor europe.
Honestly, after seeing those anti-corruption rule books - and on the same homepages where they are displayed, the markers in countrys where you cant to buisness without - sort a contamination scenario in itself, i doubt that anything can prevent this once the dice with the one killing side gets re rolled often enough.
So my money would be on less philosophers employed, more disease-control specialists, which would quickly introduce counter agents that could be consumed by the local flora/fauna.
I think that is to one dimensional a view. Many organisms come into situations they are not really fit to survive- society is complex, there are lots of dark corners where specialisation is needed. If you are a social party animal and by inheritance suddenly have to become a 24/7 CEO of a company, without any breaks and non stop political power plays - depression is not indicating that you are unworthy or something. It indicates that you want to migrate in society, away from a unhealthy environment- you detach yourself from the people you have to deal with and wait for reattachment with a better crowd. Sort of the eject capsule from bad influence you do not want to adapt.
I might get flack for it- but we did get by without this technology level before- and we might do so again.
Also im against this view of the people beeing some puppets easily swayed, they might ralley behind people yelling for a downfall - because technology actually changed theire lives for the worse en mass?
The problem with highly intelligent people is that they have a competition among themselves, and the most intelligent one coming out of those competitions is usually the one with the most measurable success (money) for the least amount of measurable input (work).
Meaning, there is a herd effect at work here, where renomee is nothing and looking down among the less intelligent ones is everything. Thus its a race away from productive intelligent endavours with lots of input (science) towards optimal endavours (hacking the system aka lawyer, investor). Meaning that blackhats among the intelligent always outcrowd the white hats in the long term deteriorating society as a whole.
Some streetsmarts might recognize the dynamic and engage it with disrupting countermeasures before the system itself is destroyed by a upper society where it is not feasible to be anything else then a well dressed game theory con-men.
The smartest people I know mostly have widely different goals, and mostly don't use money as a proxy for a measure of success (however I am not from the US...)
> competitions is usually the one with the most measurable success (money) for the least amount of measurable input (work)
I remember thinking this way during my education years, but out in the real world I have learnt otherwise.
Why jump in the way? All you need is a showstopper- a cheap chinese gadget that bounces back lidarlaserlight and radarwaves, ahead of time- thus creating the ilusion of a wall.
The American car industry is safe in the US market as long as nobody outside the US figures out how to compete with the F150. Even if it had to eventually ditch everything but the trucks, the cash cow shows no signs of dying anytime soon. Make them aluminum, carbon fiber, electric, turbo, whatever - it's the form factor that sells.
