From what I understood, the data is not persisted anywhere, but just pushed to currently open dashboards. I could be wrong though..

Thanks. Yes, that does seem to be the case. I found this old design doc [1] and discussion. Nifty feature for IoT to have more responsive alerts.

The newer speed cameras in Finland, like pictured in the article use a tracking radar to detect speed. Older speed cameras (most cameras on the road still) use two induction coils built into the road.

Finland to name one.

Also tax and income data for everyone earning over 100 000€ a year will be posted publicly online (with an option to opt-out).
