Amazing. I've been using repl.it to teach my cousins how to code and it just completely eliminates the burden of having to learn git, terminal, build processes so we can make cool things as quickly as possible.

I feel like you could teach programming with real languages at a much earlier age with tools like Repl.

I feel like this could be cool but don't quite grasp the use case. Could you add a video or walkthrough?

Yeah! You can check out a Medium article here: https://medium.com/@yashashvi99/yada-never-rewrite-anything-...

Also, when you sign in as a new user, there are example and tutorial documents!

Check out Kepler (https://kepler.space) -- they're doing great work in satellite constellations to provide constant access to the internet in underserved parts of the world. I can vouch for the founders and team.

Oh wow, that was fast. :) Thanks gurubavan, that sounds very interesting. Do you know them personally or so? Have you worked with them? I'll definitely check them out!

Yes and yes. Feel free to DM me on twitter (same username). Also check out Ginkgo Bioworks (http://ginkgobioworks.com/), one of the top 100 YC companies. They're working on some really hard problems.

You know, I might do just that. Thank you! Also, biology and biotech used to be in the 4th or 5th place on my list of interests but it became 1st or 2nd during the previous 2 years. Both companies have fascinating ideas/goals. Just fascinating! The part that's a bit sad (to me) is that I'm new in biology (although I'm constantly reading about many things there) so I'm not sure if I would ever manage to find my place in a company in that field :(

p.s. I just remembered that a year ago I watched this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OSZidU6R_mU - Reshma Shetty, Founder of Ginkgo Bioworks at the Female Founders Conference

Edit: added a p.s.

Tell them that you're really focused on customer development or building product right now (which I'm sure you are anyway) and that you'll reach out to them later ahead of fundraising. You don't owe them anything!

Great question! As a team of software engineers and data scientists, we relied on observability tools like Datadog to build reliable infrastructure for products, but were really surprised that it didn't exist.

We're not 100% sure you can't just use Datadog for this, but it seems to be shoehorning a technology to a usecase its not designed for.

Ah, sorry about that! Just posted it again without "Show HN:" in the title!

Appcues | Senior Frontend Engineer | Boston, MA | ONSITE | Full-time | https://www.appcues.com

At Appcues, we’re helping teams create products their users love. We think leaving a great first impression is a large part of that, so we've created a platform that lets product managers create onboarding experiences for their products—without needing to write any code.

Many front-end engineers spend a lot of time doing the same non-domain-specific work at every company: building onboarding tours, modals, and tooltips. Like AWS did with many non-domain-specific backend tasks, we're here to take this burden away from the engineers and empower product managers to do it themselves, freeing engineers to work on the hard technical problems they really enjoy.

Major companies like Canva, Lyft, and IBM are already using us to create amazing user experiences, and over 30M people have seen experiences built with Appcues this year.

Appcues' web products are built with ES6, React, Redux, Styled Components, and the rest of the modern frontend tech cast.

We're looking for a great frontend engineer to bring our product and user interface to the next level. You will collaborate directly with our users and our 14 incredibly talented engineers—veterans from companies like HubSpot, PayPal, Bose and the MIT Media Lab—to ship product that solves real problems.

Hit me up, apply online, or check out our glassdoor for more information.

Is there any junior/entry level position available for software engineer / back-end work? I'm based in Boston.

You need to cut fluff out of your hiring pitch.

As a developer, the content I'm interested is in your fourth paragraph, everything before that is completely generic and irrelevant.

Awesome - just applied for the Product Marketing position
