Verizon shutdown CDMA on December 31 2022.

Would be nice if an unofficial, unambiguous term caught on, 'twitteX' or 'twiXer' or ???.

If we're going for unofficial and unambiguous, there's always... Twitter.

Many have been using Xitter for months, with the 'X' pronounced as 'sh'.

There already is one: Twitter

TRIP/ITAD is/was a framework that I believe was designed to facilitate this. Unfortunately it never took off. https://www.rfc-editor.org/rfc/rfc2871

> T-Mobile and Verizon both use CGNAT

FWIW Verizon FWA does NOT use CGNAT for IPv4.

I assume “FWA” means “fixed wireless access”.

I’ve seen Comcast business also use CGNAT.

I was hoping to see some discussion from the HN community too. After reading [0] I'm not in any hurry to be an early adopter. Sunbird does seem encouraging however and will be following their progress.

In addition to the USNO master clock there are also

C-Band in the US is rolling out in 2 phases, the first uses spectrum from 3.7 to 3.8 GHz. The second - in roughly two years - adds the remaining 3.8 to 3.98 GHz. So for the first two years the spectrum used by C-Band 5G in the US is essentially the same as in most of the rest of the world.
