I'm transitioning from Machine Learning to Networking so mainly learning it and working on my CCNA !

Most of the time, climate change activists support trains and therefore would probably not disrupt the network, especially in France.

Somehow I thought it was a way to protest against mass tourism, in this case due to Olympic Games...

So now I'm concerned, do we know who did it and why ?

https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=41077894 cites a source claiming Russian sabotage.

And I recall hearing a month ago or more that Russia would likely try something, because they aren't allowed in the Olympics as Russia, because of the invasion of Ukraine. So they want to mar the Olympics out of saving face, or spite, or revenge, or whatever. (Sorry, I cannot cite a source...)

I guess we do not know anything about the training dataset ?

This is a good question - not only for the actual ethics of the training, but for the future of AI use for art. It's both gonna damage the livelyhood of many artists (me included, probably) but also make it accessibly to many more people. As long as the training dataset is ethical, I think fighting it is hard and pointless.

What data would you consider making the dataset unethical vs. ethical?

It's ethical

The dataset is so ethical that it is actually just a press release and not generally available.

Who decides what's ethical in this scenario? Is it some independent entity?

I decided.

"Ethical"

Same with teleportation, you cannot know for sure if the person after the teleportation is the same as the one before, they can just be a copy.

Great post ! Thank you

OpenWRT is a bliss to setup a router. We configured a lot of little customed subnetworks at work and it made everything so much easier.

Can't reccommend OpenWRT enough, really solid.

Yes.

> Why did I waste my career being career honest ?

Because you are not rich enough to get the mansion jail package.

Nor well connected enough to scam for millions & billions.

Also implying software companies do respect open source licenses

I'm not sure why you're being downvoted. Many companies ignore open source licenses because and it's difficult to prove they aren't following them.

LLMs cannot be considered as general reasoning engines because they do not make any kind of reasoning though.
