Strangely, I like to code to relax. When I get stressed out working on something, I just switch to working on something more fun.

yup, this is why all my personal projects are 90% done. i'll finish the other 90% some other time.

Thats interesting, I tend to do that as well

came here to post that. been using it for a few weeks now on my mac. very satisfied.

Been using it on both my office & personal account. Incredible! Considering that I spend most of time in inboxes, it has already saved myriad hours of mine on searches.

It also intrigues me that these guys launched it even before Google Instant. It rocks!

I'm an avid textmate user on my macbook. So, I decided to give e a shot on my desktop a few months ago. Initially I thought it was pretty cool that i could use all my bundles. but as I used it more I realized that there were too many quirks and missing features (like when you select a word it highlights all occurrences, auto brace completion, split view, etc)

I switched back to notepad++.

I would suggest Ruby. I found php easier to learn, but it was so easy to write bad code in it. Ruby on the other hand forces you to follow solid design patterns.

Also on a side note, ROR is a framework for Ruby, so you cant compare it with PHP. There are some really good PHP frameworks out there too (Symfony, CakePHP, Codeigniter) but they essentially try to imitate ROR and bring those design paradigms to php.

very sad to read all these cases where the VCs despotize the founders. People with money always make the calls.

On an side note, is there a place where founders/developers discuss VCs and their experiences?
