in such a complex system, software is the first thing to save your ass if there is a problem, and also the first thing to blame

phones with moving parts always had problems in the past, now there will be same issues with foldables too, however, i like they are pushing limits to make better foldable phones.

there were some news from China that one lady had returned her iPhone X because her colleague had unlocked it using Face ID

i love "my not so expensive and average quality" earphones. i simply plug it my iphone 6s, then my work laptop and when i'm home i use it while gaming with my MBP 2015. i sometimes forgot them in my pocket and find them while ironing my pants; they smell good, look very clean and work like a charm when i plug in to my phone. if i lose them or somehow they don't work, i can buy the same for a few bucks. if i want i can use a cool bluetooth earphones but i really don't want, and moreover i really don't want to be force to do so

i'm curious about that too

if yes, he is definitely following rules

that would be really handy if browser listens a port to proxify other applications

people have been dying in middle east for many years, especially in Palestine, but i've never seen such unified reaction from all over the world. are lives in france more valuable? is terror more awful in europe?

> people have been dying in middle east for many years, especially in Palestine

Exactly because of that. Sadly, terror in the middle east is for the moment, a given, since the seventies or so.

No, the lives are not valuable in France, but people sympathize more with people who they feel more in common. Some call it racism, I think it's human nature. Just like to care more about your family, than a random guy. Is that homeless guy's life less valuable than your mother's?

No, just less common. Humans tend to get used to even terrible things if they happen frequently enough.

I think it is 2 fold.

1) People care about what is close to them. If you had to grieve for every tragedy around the globe you could literally never experience joy. It's callous but true.

2) France is unexpected. Like when the tsunami hit Asia, a massive outpouring of support was witnessed there as well. Bombings in the middle east are 'expected'. (not saying that is right, or even true for Beirut, just noting what I believe is the general sentiment)

strongly agree that, another problem is that even "premium" manufacturers don't make quick rom releases. minor android versions skipped and major updates come really late, more than 3 months at least.

Apple still gives support to 4 year old iPhone 4s. though it's lagging a bit. but after a year buying such premium device, you start to get updates late or no at all.

Sony supports their older model. As late as last year every Z-series could be updated to the latest Android.

Also they are waterproof and generally good. I love mine and sometimes walk around like a living advert for them - hoping they can stay in business for many years.
