The ease of obtaining such sounds on the cheap makes it difficult to appreciate just how cutting-edge those sounds were in Kraftwerk’s time. Making electronic drums sound good requires a lot of processing, and they did all of that with analog equipment before we even had a complete idea of how electronic drums “should” sound. And that raises the bar for today’s musicians — doing “Kraftwerk” today requires pushing boundaries like they did, not just making the same sounds.
It’s a subtle aspect of moods and emotions that we are not privileged to know their impetuses. Yet, to learn them can be as simple as asking the subconscious of this, and this is a crucial function of free writing.
Such thoughts never do more harm than when they are trapped in our heads. Fortunately, paper notes, unlike digital ones, can be made to disappear without a trace.
Took up journaling late last year on Julia Cameron’s suggestion (“The Artist’s Way” prescribes for artists a daily, morning free writing exercise). It is a distinctly effective way to neutralize ruminating thoughts, pull apart confusing feelings, de-censor myself from myself; simply put, I have been able to raise my consciousness through journaling.
It's not obvious how much of this is Sanders' impact on Biden vs. Sanders' impact on the party as a whole, but Biden's pro-union and pro-worker stances are pretty pronounced compared to Obama and Clinton (and remarkably so compared to Trump, and Bush). So he's easily the most pro-worker/union president in my lifetime, which is a fairly Bernie-ist position.
Same with (partial) student debt relief, and you see shadows of the Green New Deal in the Inflation Reduction Act.
186 years with the current level of funding and procedures, I assume. And random, unannounced visits of even 1% of those sites should make a significant difference.
