On Monday, Poland saw a wave of protests on a previously unprecedented scale. Hundreds of thousands of people blocked key streets and intersections of hundreds of Polish cities during rush hours to show their anger with the de facto abortion ban.

If anyone was curious about the Catholic Church in all of this, I did a quick search on Muslim-majority countries and abortion law and found this survey from 2014.
“18 of 47 countries do not allow abortion under any circumstances besides saving the life of the pregnant woman.”
I look forward to the nuanced intellectual discussion that will ensue on an IT forum to clarify at what point during pregnancy an unborn human being is “ensouled”; alternatively at what point is the fetus in a woman’s body deemed worthy of independent basic human rights.
