"If you were asked to multiply 13 by 17, would the answer pop immediately into your mind? For most of us, probably not. Yet, that doesn't mean humans are incapable of two-digit multiplication. ... Similarly, if you give GPT-3 a task that's too complex"

Precisely the tone and wording of the aggressive marketing campaign around this product. Confirms where the spam originated from on reddit and everywhere else. Wondering how many bots and fake redditors they paid to promote this?

Dont worry bmw and audi are in the same boat i dont understand why people think these are good cars.

Because historically they have been, comparatively to other brands.

They're getting to be far too complex to be reliable, and too much attention is paid to short term profits (IMO), so we get what we have now.

Historically they have been but most innovation at least from bmw comes from slapping extra turbos to chase ever increasing bhp. Interiors are mainly the same but with updated instrument clusters and redesigned exteriors. Not groundbreaking i think what is happening is too much attention to short term profits and forcing customers to refresh their cars every few years. Literally after they out of warranty bmws fall apart not to mention mercedeses that fall apparent even within warranty (the m and s class do).

BMW has never had great longevity. They're mostly fine for 100k miles, but people expect cars to last much longer than that now. Old BMWs have solid reputation as a money pit.

Considering how small these “record” bonuses are they probably do pay a very very poor salary.

The base salary is solid and high. It’s a salary and not a lottery.

Stay away from software engineering. It already pays little. It will degrade over time.

Now russians have everything they wish and more yet behave like barbarians. Some cultures never change and they wish the same for everyone in their neighbourhood. Perhaps karma and sanctions will revert that country to the state they deserve.

Yeah but it doesnt seem to be selling and looks like thousands of other games released daily.

Making games is hard and marketing them for the right audience is even harder. Anyone who want ot make make game development their primary job have to take a risk of their game not becoming bestseller. Though in reality 90% of games simply never getting to release at all.

At the same time I think 2 years working with Godot full time is enough to talk about it's strong and weak sides including ecosystem problems that make commercial game development even harder.

As a software engineer you are anything but rich, regardless of wether you think being born in a western country is an advantage. Likely people born to educated parents outside the west are richer than you. Simply because their income is disproportionality higher than their peers, whereas you are just average.
