This was helpful to read, as someone currently collecting my own unreleased technical writing (possibly for a book). Thank you for focusing on the "why" here and sharing information on the range of possible outcomes.

Also, congrats on the launch of https://graphql.guide/! It is so critical to have well thought out, long-form content available in this day and age.

I'm fairly happy with the sshfs implementation provided by the FUSE project: https://github.com/osxfuse/sshfs/releases

Once you set some flags like sshfs -o auto_cache,reconnect,defer_permissions,negative_vncache,noappledouble user@host:/ /path/to/local/ it's pretty robust.

I can then edit files remotely but still use Sublime Text :)

cool! You should also check out the pedalShield for Arduino http://www.electrosmash.com/pedalshield

This is a small collection of programmable guitar pedals I've been maintaining, including The Owl, my own design, the FV-1 and many others for Arduinos and whatnot: http://diydsp.com/livesite/pages/GuitarPedals

This is fantastic! Love the throat singing and the ability to play with different presets. I was using the TNG engine noise on youtube before the 24-hour version was taken down, but this is my new jam.

I find Evernote's web interface has 99% of the features I use in the thick client, but YMMV.
