Hello and thank you for your message.
The domain name was already reinstated earlier today after the registrant finally responded to our notice and took appropriate action to resolve the issue

The registrant is itch.io. Sounds like victim blaming.

The fact that they didn't include a quote or captioned photo from Michael Scott is a missed opportunity.

Wasn't this covered in an episode of Big Bang Theory? AKA the fount of relevant scientific knowledge..

Yes, in the episode called "The Lunar Excitaion" (http://bigbangtheory.wikia.com/wiki/The_Lunar_Excitation), it's Season 3, Episode 23, aired first on May 24 2010.

I'm sorry but if you're on $130k at the age of 21, I really don't think you should worry about procrastination. If I was on anything near $130K at my age, I'd walk around with a grin on my face 24/7.

Go to the beach and enjoy your life.

I got the job I have now from meeting the CEO of the company on a train to London. He was sat next to me and saw me applying for a job at one of his competitors & politely asked me what I thought I was doing. After 40 minutes of me showing him my C.V, my university work and explaining why I really wanted my job in digital marketing, he offered me an interview for an internship.

Of course I had to impress him enough to get the internship and impress the company enough to work there full time now, but it was meeting the CEO that got me the opportunity in the first place. I thank that random moment of pure chance for making that connection.

Connections are great, but most of us don't have them from the get go. So I guess we have to make them.

I love this article though. Deffo something I'd do if I was trying to break into an industry or area where I know no one.

Being lucky is hardly a strategy, though.

Unless Jdfmiller was sitting next to the CEO on a train, applying for a job with a rival competitor in his clear view... by design!

That's a pretty awesome story, but I have to agree with dystroy on this one. It really was pure chance that you made that connection and it's unlikely to happen again. Are you sure you weren't just stalking the CEO and then luring him in by applying to a competitor? ;)

My dad once said to me: "There will always be someone better than you".

It really pissed me off for ages, because I was like, what's the point then? What's the point if I can't be the best at something? But then I realised that if someone's always going to be the best and beat you, you don't have to strive in life to be the best at something. It kills the ego for me, which is a big battle for a lot of us. Being good at it and enjoying the journey is enough. I try to be excellent at what I do, but It doesn't matter if I'm not the best. Even if I am, It's unlikely I always will be and that's fine. For most of us that are average, it's unlikely we're going to be the next "Big thing". But who cares.

On a side note, this article seemed kind of nothingy, I don't think I learnt anything new from it so i'm wondering why it's so high on HN?

If you're in the UK, leave the VAT field blank.

Also, KEONS ARE NOW SOLD OUT!

I got the same error earlier, that "VAT is empty". Now they've fixed it. VAT is automatically added. For EU customers, including VAT, it comes to 110 EUR (Keon) and 180 EUR (Peak). And yeah, I chose the 18-EUR shipping option. Successfully ordered the PEAK for 200 EUR. Yay!

seems like Keons are back in stock..
