Zuckerberg probably follows every #killedbygoogle social media account out there

Funny thing is that the other company was a serious contributor to the android ecosystem was Huawei. I can even dare say that they were even more serious than Samsung. Google's lack of support for non smartphone OS will give Huawei an opening.

Huawei would probably have 90 % of the 5G equipment market if this smear campaign had not started. They were even beating Nokia and Ericsson in their respective home markets

Because Russia has the internal capacity to build these drones. I have seen hundreds of factories churning out drones like they are candy

Can you show me those hundreds of factories? I've seen calls from Russian soldiers for more and complains of not having enough.

That China has a more vibrant tech scene than Europe is a real shame.

And yet China's relative success is due to protectionism (or failed antitrust in USA/EU).

In a "winner takes all" situation, how else can the EU compete ? (The US did protectionism too while their industries were fledgling, to avoid getting crushed by the British...)

This is not a winner takes all situation at all.

I have a theory: If a country has an IQ of 95 or above, sanctions would likely prove ineffective in halting the acquisition of specific technologies within such a society.

You are saying that if Nigeria or Burundi or Mexico or Indonesia engaged in IP theft, they could build a competitive chip sector ?

Obviously not. I’m saying China wouldn’t be able to make use of their unlimited government funding and rare earth minerals without stealing innovation from the US.

I'm laughing at your comment because you seem to assume that China is doing nothing in EUV. I have somewhat inside knowledge and I can tell you that they have multiple teams working on multiple approaches. From SSMB to LPP, they are leaving nothing to chance.

I have been repeatedly pointing out that we don’t know, not claiming that they aren’t making progress. Do you deliberately misread your insider information as well?

Catching up is usually easier than pushing the frontier.Once you know that it's possible, it becomes a matter of iteration.

So it will take less than sixty years. Yes, I can believe that.

Proton mail is a CIA front email provider

That is a false statement: https://www.reddit.com/r/ProtonMail/comments/14demhj/debunki....

To address the broader topic of this thread, there is no comparison between Crypto AG and us. Our encryption occurs client-side, our cryptographic code is open source ( https://proton.me/community/open-source ), and our tech can and has been independently verified. More about this here: https://proton.me/blog/is-protonmail-trustworthy.

Proton Mail's extremely bureaucratic operational deafness, and their glacial pace of product features and open-sourcing, would certainly lend support to that idea.

Hmm... should I choose a provider with a history of spying on everyone and destabilization, or Google? ...OK, I'll go with the CIA.

It is impossible to tell if this is satire or not.

I actually wish this was true. I want an email service that would last forever and is secure enough from my threats, namely security breaches of the email host and account takeover from non state actors.

Gmail is close enough, but I want an alternative. An email service run by the nsa or the cia would be great.

(No sarcasm is intended)
