On: Words that deserve wider use

I was disappointed not to find "captious", which should be the official word of this website.

[Eisenstein → idlewords]

If anyone doesn't know what that means, I looked it up so you don't have to:

captious

kăp′shəs

adjective

1. Marked by a disposition to find and point out trivial faults.

2. Intended to entrap or confuse, as in an argument.

[idlewords → Eisenstein]

That's not exactly what captious means.

[hju22_-3 → idlewords]

Elaborate on it then.

[lisper → hju22_-3]

I think that was meant to be a joke.
