1. They have a lot of problems with people who come and can't get stuff done in a giant organization
2. They don't try to teach newcomers how to get stuff done in a giant organization. Which would be the obvious answer to those problems.
I'm admittedly stretching a little, but I find more often than not the kinds of questions people ask tell you a lot about what they're trying to select for. (Or, for a lot of orgs, that they have no idea what they're trying to select for.)
