alternative browsers tend to have way worse results compared to Google

Google Search is about to fundamentally change—for better or worse. To align with Alphabet-owned Google’s grand vision of artificial intelligence, and prompted by competition from AI upstarts like ChatGPT, the company’s core product is getting reorganized, more personalized, and much more summarized by AI.8

Better or worse? I think it's reasonable to assume it will be the later. The has been the trend for the past decade or longer.

Ok so I’m no Google apologist, but I’m voting for better. Because good god how could it possibly get worse?

So much for all those Congressional hearings and SEC investigations in 2021. What was the point? I assumed that there would be more restraint but Kitty is tweeting up a storm again.

<sarcasm>The hearings and investigations were stock picking sessions</sarcasm>

What are some good meme stocks?

I see a fate similar to Wolfram Alpha. gradual degradation and pay-walling of free features.

The WA degradation really baffled me. How did that come about?

I am guessing students overtaxed the free features for homework assignments, so metering and other restrictions were put in place

Yeah did anyone actually expect tiktok would be banned, as in the domain not working and the app banned?

gme and bitcoin lower compared to 2021 highs on inflation adjusted basis

I am sure you can make a similar argument that the chance of hitting 31 on a roulette table is ‘lower’ compared to 2021 highs or whatever imaginary gambling stat we can conjure up.

These are all made up numbers so number go down or up isn’t the issue here.

A lot longer than people are probably expecting. Fears of the debt are nothing new yet the US keeps defying the odds.

It is also important to remember that the money isn't borrowed out of thin air. Other nation states, corporations, and individuals have lent all this money to the US government. Lenders lend when and where they believe they will receive a return on their investment.

If and when the US approaches a position where it cannot pay the interest owed, you'd expect that to coincide with a reluctance by the lenders to continue lending.

So, you could argue that the US is not defying any odds, but rather it is consistently performing at or near the odds that have been predicted by the global public.

On other side principal is being rolled over very regularly. If this process fails, it will all fall down. Likely it will be printed to existence, but then inflation hits and taking money and moving it to any other assets make lot more sense. Even if that is harder to use.

s/defying the odds/making trillion dollar payments/

You can maintain massive credit card debt for a long, long, long time.

Sure you'll give a lot of your wealth to creditors, but you can do it.

The power 9 became so powerful when later on it became possible to make combo decks that could win within 5 turns

There was a black lotus first turn kill in the original set:

Black lotus, mountain, channel, fireball.

And you could make a deck with 10 of each of those if you wanted according to the original rules.

5 turns is slow for any constructed format which includes the original sets. (heck, I've pulled off faster combos in a vintage cube draft)

She was right. After Magic: The Gathering debuted at Gen Con in 1993, six months of product sold out in six weeks.

that was like the original bitcoin. anyone who still held on to those cards , especially the power 9 or dual lands, made a killing

I fancy myself as creative. still waiting for a win, let alone a big one.
